Members Weekend '26!🀎🀍 To a location so secret, ou Members Weekend '26!🀎🀍 To a location so secret, our Chair only got the first clues five metres away from the final destination ... Menno's old house became the scene for a bunch of spectacular activities: a cantus, a pubquiz and an improv comedy show! 🎭 At the Scavenger Hunt, some teams were more committed than others: while Stijn, Meg, Leo and Thomas discovered location after location, Joep's team was enjoying a marathon session of Dixit in the HEMA ... eventually though they joined us for some well-deserved beers at Café Camelot! 😁🍻 The weekend was also full of cultural discoveries: from experiencing hail for the first time, to Sophie finally knowing the German mythology meaning of Nibelung ... ;) Next up: Family Feud on the 8th of April! ✨️

Last Saturday, the AcCie took the association out to the lanes of Olround for some bowling action! 🎳 From the very first throws, it was clear everyone had a unique style: from Thomas' smashing the ball onto the lane, to Jop's gentle nudge technique, and Kristian's hand on the floor as a good luck charm ... Surprisingly, in true "from zero to hero" style, Stijn bounced back from his disastrous 2025 edition to claim a Redemption Day victory!πŸŽ– Beforehand we fueled ourselves with some "plant based power food" at Copper Branch, and the evening finished in style with card games at Ledig Erf! (per Stijn's request, of course with an Elvis Presley card deck ...) πŸ€™πŸ»

Our Commissioner of Sports brought along most people, and went home with the victory as well! Undoubtedly due to the massive support from the sidelines ... From double-handed fore- and backhands to push-ups before the match ... the day saw nothing less than extraordinary tactics to gain the (mental) edge!β™ŸοΈπŸƒ In the end Jelle and Romi took home the (silv-) teaware in the beginner category, while a clean sweep of five 2-0 victories meant Joep won the advanced class!πŸ† Keep an eye out on our calendar for future tournament dates πŸ“†

The new SportCie kicked off their tournament seaso The new SportCie kicked off their tournament season last Saturday, with an Open Tournament at All Inn! The battlefield was filled with players from associations all over: Ballistic (Wageningen), Quatsh (Eindhoven and even Squadraat (Groningen) were all represented! πŸ† After exhausting ourselves with three to four matches in the group stages, attention turned to the ever merciless knock-out phase. Funnily enough though, being tied on five game wins each, nothing other than the value of a randomly drawn card determined whether Melle, Joep or Ben would proceed ... In the end a Beat It finale unfolded: just like last year Stijn and Toon went up against eachother! Hitch-Hiking Weekend! Last month, seven teams took Hitch-Hiking Weekend! Last month, seven teams took on our much anticipated challenge of reaching the Belgian coast city of Oostende, starting all the way from Utrecht πŸ›£ Leaving Utrecht proved to be a tough challenge, but eventually every group caught some rides! Some more valuable than others: getting a ride in the back of a camper may sound like fun, but it can you leave stuck in the middle of nowhere for two hours ... No such struggles for Jurriaan and Thomas, who claimed a smooth victory with 4 rides! Sanne, Juliette and Tima had no less than eight!! rides, before also reaching the Belgian coast for some pizza and a beach sunset πŸ– The rest of the weekend included 'hangover bingo' and discovering the best that Antwerp has to offer (lots of waffles) With no need for a back up car, this year's edition might have been even better than last year's!

Based on the TV show, Beat It hosted its very own version a few weekends ago! πŸŽ₯ The challenges were divided into three waves: 1) First, matching our rewritten quotes to some (slightly ridiculous, ahum) pictures of ourselves on trees, 2) Then, divided into groups, recreate three images in under 30 minutes 3) and finally, have the group guess a song only you are hearing on headphones, being allowed only to hum or dance πŸ’ƒπŸ» All the while of course, there was one person trying to sneakily obstruct our smooth process of making money. In the end, only two people suspected him, so it was a job well done! Sadly though, Lukas didn't hide his antics well enough: Stijn and Joep were able to uncover his dirty tactics. The encore: late night pizzas and wine in the Wilhelminapark!🍷
